Wolfden hits 14.70 metres of 3.63% Nickel, 1.13% Copper and 0.12% Cobalt
Each time my website sponsor Wolfden Resources (WLF.V) does additional drilling it continues to exhibit how wide open their discovery is, and the team gets a better handle on what is happening with the zones of high-grade nickel-copper-cobalt. Earlier today, they reported a new batch of drill holes and others are still pending, I’ve invited Don Hoy, Wolfden CEO and President, to come on a show to discuss the winter drilling program. I also wanted to put together my summary of the drill results reported today.
Obviously, the thick intersection of high-grade stands out the most, it is also notable that it is close to surface and from the Main Zone. It is becoming clearer, that both the Main and New Lower Zone, are carrying the high-grade. They are getting a better handle on how that is leading to the feeder, and the model of the whole system is evolving nicely. I look forward to speaking with Don Hoy after the pending holes come out, as he will be able to add these new holes into the model and we can get a better image of how things are looking at depth.
It also stood out to me that they reported cobalt results in this batch of holes, that is the first time I’ve seen those in the holes. I will be sure to ask Don Hoy in our upcoming interview if that is the first time they assayed for cobalt, and if it is, will they be going back and testing any of the past holes for cobalt.
In the winter drilling, they were able to test one of their many additional exploration targets, and they may be onto something. This regional target is around 6 km from Rice Island, and although they didn’t hit mineralization, it looks like they may be on the edge of something similar to what they see at Rice Island and more work is required. They are very skilled explorers with plenty of targets, if they want to do more work, they will have sound reasons and it will also be a subject in our upcoming interview.
There isn’t a lot of exploration happening, so the labs are getting results out fast, I would expect the remaining drill holes should be reported within the next couple weeks and I’m looking forward to the interview with Don Hoy. I have a pretty good idea what the model of the discovery looks like, but we will be able to see drill hole maps, intersections and what the model looks like after all the holes are in. Before doing that, I wanted to share my insights on the drilling results.
My reports are for information purposes only, before making any investment decisions it is important to do your homework and speak with your financial advisors.
In closing, I continue to be impressed by the drilling results each step of the way. It will be great to have Don Hoy on another show soon, he is very good at helping others understand Wolfden’s high-grade nickel-copper-cobalt project in Manitoba.
All the best,
Allan Barry Laboucan
